Many people believe making resolutions is a load of crap, but if you don't set goals for yourself, what will you accomplish? I think the key is to create a realistic list, something do-able yet challenging. I honestly did pretty well with my 2009 resolutions. 2010 is going to be a year of giving back and tons of mini-breaks. So here we go...This year I will:
- Always be on time. It's rude and inconsiderate to keep people waiting. (esp. for me, who's chronically tardy. I'm sorry!)
- Give back by volunteering once a month.
- Take as many mini-breaks as possible. On the list: Catalina, Sonoma, Sedona, Miami, Vegas AND Hawaii or Bahamas. (we need to live it up before we have the b-word)
- Learn the electric guitar. This is rolled over from last year.
Of course there are the usual resolutions
(to exercise consistently, to stop cursing so much, learning to let go...etc.), but I've come to realize that I will
always be working on these things. It's a constant struggle that I will eventually
(or may never) overcome. And I've accepted and come to grips with Time.
So here's to a New Year and to starting over. Be careful where ever you may be tonight and most importantly, surround yourselves with the people you love and have loads of fun!
See you next year!
Cheers!
xoxo
